Getting Back to Work!

Alright it’s been a long while and so far no posts. I’ve found out the main problem with this is I have no structure and/or agenda to try and touch on to keep me posting. This was originally going to be a tutorial site but after looking at how many tutorial sites are already out there I’m going to try and make this a more universal Modeling/Art site. I’d like for this to become a place where I can post artist, tutorials, stories, competitions, and generally anything I find interesting and helpful to all the other digital artist out there. After a little thought I’ve been able to come up with a general posting plan for the site and a site renaming and redesign is on the way as well.

Here is a list of the posts I will try to make into a weekly task. So all you people out there checking out the site will know when to expect post and get on my tail about being late posting news.

-Daily Article

*Mon (Contest Listing)
- I’ll try and obtain a list of all the contests that I currently know of that are going on in the world of digital art.

*Tue (animated Shorts)
- I’ll be posting art and animated shorts I find on this day that I think are worth looking at and admiring.

*Wed (Self Made Tutorial)
- I’ll reserve this day for posting tips, tutorials, and software downloads that I think will help the majority of artist out there.

*Thur (Industry Update)
- I’ll try and use this day to keep everyone up to date on the industry and if any major changes are in the works. Basically this will be a news day were I’ll try and keep up to date on the weekly news.

*FRI (3 Artist to watch / 3 Tutorials from other artist)
- This is going to be my lazy day, I’ll give you a run down on 3 artist I’ve picked over the week and 3 additional artist tutorials I think would help out everyone. It is Friday so you can’t possibly blame me for wanting to make this an easy day.

*Sat & Sun (only important news)
- Don’t expect any posts on the weekends but if something ground breaking happens or a contest ends on these days I’ll make sure to touch base with everyone and give you a run down.

3DTotal Starts 3D Model Printing Service

3DTotal has started printing 3D models for consumers. Seems like a very interesting concept and the technology behind it is very cool. They are currently ranging from $50 to $500 dollars, which can seem a little steep, but considering most modelers have their fair share of favorite works this could turn out to be a pretty good deal. Since the material seems to be a silicon based substance I would also assume you could paint your model as well. For more information check out the site after the post.
